I did a rough comparison between the leading online chat software companies, and after an hour I realized the deciding which online help desk software to choose, can be very hard, greater if you are a newbie in that field.
As a CEO of a small company myself, I had a chance to learn a lot about Internet technologies, and when it comes to make a decision about which online live chat software to purchase, I have made several inquiries about these type of software to make sure that I make the right decision. I didn't search for a free help desk software, rather I wanted a professional paid version which can stand the lots amount of traffic that I have in my website. Of course I got ready by hiring 4 new employees that will extend my current support division, which include 2 employees. The main purpose of my business is to provide my customer the best support for financial management solutions, whether is it done by phone, chat ,email pr personal meetings. The other parts works pretty well, but I wanted to give the online chat support a greater emphasize. I have done a in-depth research and read lots of review and articles about free and paid live chat software before I made my mind. It wasn't easy though. The first website which I got while searching Google search engine was a top ten live online chat review site, which compared the top 12 chat support software side-by-side. Because it was an affiliated site, I decided to give my attention to the features comparison part. It did it very well though, and when I saw a feature which hasn't been included in the other web help desk software packages, I eliminate it and continue to compare the other help desk solutions. After doing this elimination process, I have stayed with 3 paid help desk software: LivePerson Pro, ProvideSupport and BoldChat. All of them were suited perfectly for my needs, and I must say that it wasn't ways task to choosing between the 12, most of them were also good and offered many great features. Just to let you know that their are two type of live help software, the first one is web based administration panel for operators and the other is desktop(software based). Many of the live online support chat companies, offer both of them, but you should make sure that you know what you get. Customer support live chat software is all about increasing sales. Buying a software like this can increase you website sales by hundred percents if implement correctly. When we mean 'correctly' we mean the the company itself should provide you with the right tools and software flexibility to engage you visitors and make the right decision. after all, a visitor may stay only a few seconds on your website before he or she leaves, therefore some automated task should be deployed to help the prevention of customer leaving your website and lower the bounce rate to the minimum. There are some open source live chat software on the web (for free), but most of them do not come close to the product perfection of the leading live chat support software products of the leading companies, and if your have a medium-large website, you should consider working only with the most popular help desk software brands!
