Google Plus Social Network Features and Invitation

Google+ or Google Plus is the new social network from Google that suppose to compete against the world's largest social network on the web, Facebook. Google+ brings some special UI enhancements that we have never seen before in a social network application. However, the basics of how Google+ operates is somewhat very basic but at the same time straight to the point. We want to be able to fulfill different task each day, social tasks and Google Plus can help us with that.

When Google+ launched at 28/6/2010 it's still in testing phase and only a group of people got invitation to try out the new social networking application. I've search to see if there are people who share inviations to GooglePlus but didn't find any.

Google+ has 4 basic elements and some mobile phone features that integrates with the site via an Android app (ie. Google+ Android App). The four features are: Circles, Uploads, Hangouts and Sparks. These are not the only features but the basic elements on which the social interactivity relies on.

Let's take Hangouts for example. This is a unique multi-user video chat application that brings two or more people into interactive video chat with one another. They can be people from your social "Circle" or just a spontaneous act form your side. It's a great idea because it hasn't implemented yet properly in social networks. This is the way of future interaction, Less text more videos. After the mobile revolution I think that more and more people are ready to start interacting with video. Google knows it's the time and reveals that new feature in Google+.

The second feature is called "Circles". It's actually a virtual representation of friend's social interaction as in real-life. What Google did with Google Plus Circles is to take that real-life interaction and virtualize it inside GooglePlus. This is actually a grouping method that enables Google+ members to put one or more people inside a social group and give it a meaningful name.  When Google will develop more features inside Google Plus, many of them will take advantage of this "Circles" member's group. Just an example, via the Android Google Plus app you can send text messages only to people on one "Circle" by sending just one message instead of several messages to each person.
