Buying New High End Computer - Money Wise

I remember always wanting a brand-new computer, desktop computer for my room. I've to play computer games and programs software. I thought that when they buy a brand-new high end computer, all my problems will disappear. On the contrary, when I installed more than 200 programs on my new computer, I've witnessed that my computer became very slow. I bought the newest Intel processor with the latest RAM technology and put about four giga bytes of RAM models on the motherboard.

It seems that even the latest technology from both Intel and AMD in and the other manufacturers, just can supply the need for speed. I live in Israel, and I've seen many people buy computers for more than $4000 each. Rent talking about powerful computers, I'm talking about the new Intel Core i7 processors, a motherboard that cost more than $300. I was also interested in buying a new graphic card from NVIDIA or ATI for my new computer, and finally have decided to buy the NVIDIA GTX 295 with 1792MB of RAM, which supports directX 10.

Of course games run smoothly, but working with applications like Photoshop, for example, the power of the computer just can't help in those specific applications, which are not three-dimensional applications like games. As I've told you before I am a programmer. I like to use Visual Studio and other specific application development software. Speed is a must, and because I became so frustrated with my new computer, I've decided to ask questions in hardware forums on the Internet, in order to get answers to fulfill my needs.

The most important part in buying a new computer for software developers, is that processor. So when you buy a new computer, and you want the best speed, choose the highest possible CPU for your computer, and you are probably best to buy the Intel processor. If you're not playing games, and by a really strong graphic card, because it was not the fact the overall performance of your computer, even if you use Vista operating system from Microsoft.

Another thing to consider buying, is a fast hard drive. Many people who buy a new computer, just by very large capacity hard drives, instead of giving the most important factor to dispute of the hard drive. Cooling solutions is also very recommended, if you intend to do benchmarks on your computer for a specific application and games. Keeping your computer cool with a promise that you'll hardware will keep working for years to come. So buying a new case for your computer is also very important. Invest at least two on the dollars on a cooling case.

So as you can see spending all the money on specific hardware complements is a waste of money. Only invest in what you really need, in order to make your computer much faster for your specific needs and not to impress your friends or your family. Remember, next year you can buy a new computer, much faster, and for lower price.
